After graduating from SMU, Katherine then spent a year working, riding and competing under U.S. Olympian Will Coleman in Charlottesville, Virginia. She has also been fortunate to spend time under the tutelage of Australian international Grand Prix Show Jumper & Olympian Scott Keach. In the winter of 2012, she moved back to Texas to open her own private training business, CatchRide. In the summer of 2017 – Katherine and husband Michael purchased their own training facility – Trinity Forest Equestrian – to create more opportunities for Katherine’s sale and training business.
In addition to training dozens of students over the years in the show ring, Katherine also has a passion for bringing along young horses for the show ring. With a strong background in natural horsemanship, dressage and jumping, Katherine has successfully started dozens of horses, building their confidence as they learn the ropes to becoming a successful show horse.
